Are more Venezuelans travelling to countries like the UK because of the change in currency or is the black market price of the bolivar different?
The black market usually pays you twice the amount of the dollar because the goverment has money control. But yeah most venezuelans are now buying food and other products over seas because Chavez is also starting to control what products enter. there is really high demand but barely any supply.

Recently the foreign exchange reserves in the UK increased dramatically. Explain how and why this situation came about and what risks does the UK face from currency intervention? And Include Havard Refrence format?
It sounds as if The Bank of England has been selling sterling again!
They do this to stabilise exchange rates and following the decision to cut rates in the US they may have been looking to keep the £/$ rate near the $2 level.

I am a taxi driver and frequently get variations of UK currency to settle debt, yet some of the variants i accept..when i subsequently try to bank them, they charge me to convert them? Some people are saying to me that i cannot refuse these notes to settle debt but then the bank charges me as if it’s foreign currency? I am not saying the bank is wrong but i just want to know that if i spend these in a restaurant one night, the proprietor cannot refuse?
Can someone please let me know where i stand on the following regions banknotes;
Guernsey
Jersey
The Isle of Man
Gibraltar pound
Falkland Islands
Saint Helena
Any other british territory with a fixed/pegged one-to-one parity with sterling.
Many thanks!

Nowadays, the word "Sterling" does not mean anything and is often omitted on banknotes even on English notes. In fact, every single pound is sterling if pegged with the English pound which is the case for Scottish, Northern Irish, Jersey, Guernsey, Manx pound, Gibraltar pound, the Falkland Islands pound and Saint Helena pound.
The key question is which of these notes are Pounds Sterling, and which are other currencies that happen to also be called the Pound (in the same way that various countries have different currencies called the Dollar).
And the answer is fairly simple. Any note issued by a country or territory in the British Isles (other than the Republic of Ireland) is denominated in Pounds Sterling. So you are safe to accept English, Northern Irish, Scottish, Isle of Man, Guernsey, and Jersey notes.
You should not accept notes from the Falklands, St Helena, or Gibraltar. Although these currencies are called "the Pound", sometimes look similar to UK currency (eg Gibralter pound coin), and are tied to Sterling, they are not Pounds Sterling.
