whats the best way to convert foreign currency to home currency. Bank? Foreign Exchange?? (UK)
    The currency is estonian.

can i put foreign money in my bank account?
    What ways are there?
The currency is worth about 500 pounds so comission/poor exchange rate will make a difference.
    Thanks

Compare exchange rates at banks and foreign exchange outlets. I usually find that the travel agent is very reasonable and they dont charge commission whereas i find that western union and the like are expensive. Rates are displayed in windows or if you search for exchange rate comparison in google search then you should yield some results.

Banks do it too. Look for the ‘Bureu de Change’ sign.

Does a weak currency make that country a more viable place for foreign investors to invest?

My example is In the UK, if the pound is weak this makes exports cheaper. Will this mean that foreign investors are more like to invest in England?

No, it works the other way around. It’s the fact that foreign investors have lost faith in the currency that’s the reason that the currency has devalued in the first place. Of course, if it’s TOO devalued then that presents an opportunity, in which case yes, it’s a viable investment.

It’s not an easy question to answer really, it’s a bit like asking "does the fact that housing prices are dropping mean there are some good bargains to snap up?". If the market goes up again then yeah, there are. If it does.

    Foreign Currency Economic Exposure?

Posted by admin on March 17th, 2011 and filed under uk foreign currencies | 2 Comments »

Jaguar is owned by Ford Inc of the United States. Jaguar manufactured luxury cars in the UK but its sales are predominately in the US. Sales to the US are currently invoiced in US dollars.

Explain the term foreign currency economic exposure, describe the foreign currency exposures faced Jaguar and discuss whether Jaguar should set the invoice prices of its cars for export in £s or foreign currency terms ($s when selling in the US).

Thanks, I really need help with this or I’m gonna get killed.

In short, my best guess stems from this following point: If you were a country totting up your GDP figures, is it not a reasonable guess to say you support your own currency? Operating in another currency reduces your ‘groups’ GDP accumulation.

How to exchange a large amount of one currency to another in the UK?

If I want to exchange large amounts of Pakistani Rupees into British Pounds and vice versa (without having to send the money to a foreign bank account), how do I go about doing so? Can you recommend any services, banks or building societies that offer this? I’ve tried Nationwide Building Society but they tell me that they do not handle Pakistani Rupees. Please help!
I’m trying to exchange 25,000 GBP

how much are you trying to convert?
