For finding a mentor in the UK, I would recommend visiting trading forums that are frequented by UK traders. Here is a list of forums where I have found users to be friendly and helpful:

   Hello mate,

   I started off not knowing anything about Forex. I came across bestforex.co.uk and it had some useful info on there. The best thing (in my opinion) is to open a practice account, that way you can teach yourself!
